Asia’s festival circuit in 2025 is shaping up to be more ambitious than ever…and we’ve only just started the year.

From remote islands where Funktion-One stacks command the night to snow-covered landscapes transformed into sonic playgrounds, this year’s offerings are set to elevate your festival experience, showcasing top-tier talent from all around the globe, including local stalwarts. Some are legendary, some are up-and-coming—but all promise to be worth the trip.

Expect underground gatherings in the jungle, cutting-edge showcases in the heart of major cities, and some of the world’s most iconic electronic brands planting their flags across the continent.

Whether you’re drawn to the energy of high-altitude raves, the serenity of coastal escapes, or the raw intimacy of a secluded open-air setting, you’ve got a diverse selection of events to choose from in 2025.

22-23 February
Hong Kong: Rustival

Rustival returns on February 22-23, 2025, bringing a weekend of techno, sound system culture, and open-air exploration on a remote island with a unique history. Powered by a Funktion-One system (8 tops, 12 subs), the line-up features Andy Chiu, KMG, Xylon, Zarah, and more, with sunrise sets from Zora Chan and Chingyi. There’s also an open deck session from 9am on Day 2. Beyond the music, attendees can take part in fire dancing, foraging, tea ceremonies, and creative workshops. No city noise, no distractions—just pure beats, nature, and good vibes till the last ferry out.

4-9 March & 10-15 March
Japan: Snow Machine

Snow Machine lands in Japan with two editions: Hakuba (March 4-9) and Niseko (March 10-15), combining top-tier electronic music with world-class ski conditions. Spend your days carving through the slopes and your nights at après parties and main stage events. The line-up features Chase & Status, A-Trak, Hiroko Yamamura, Claptone, Dillon Francis, DJ Nobu, Samo, Ken Ishii, and more, with each location also offering different acts from the other. Whether in Hakuba’s expansive valley or Niseko’s famous powder, it’s the ultimate ski trip and music festival rolled into one.

8-9 March
Hong Kong: Creamfields

Creamfields Hong Kong 2025 is set to take over the Central Harbourfront Event Space on March 8-9, bringing a massive lineup to the city’s biggest outdoor music festival. Headliners include multi-platinum artist ZEDD, Swedish House Mafia members Axwell and Ingrosso, mysterious house maestro Claptone, and rising bass innovator ISOxo making his Hong Kong debut. Trance lovers can rejoice with the return of the Into the Realm stage, while UK’s renowned techno brand Teletech lands in Asia for the first time.

4-6 April
Vietnam: Equation

Equation is locking in another mind-expanding weekend in the mountains of Mai Chau, Vietnam, from April 4-6—three days and two nights of pure sonic bliss. This year’s line-up includes international heavyweights John Talabot, Partok, and CEM, alongside some of Asia’s finest such as Sisi, Yamarchy, Zhiqi, DIGNOS, and Di Linh. Two stages, two vibes: The Garden, a sun-drenched paradise of house, disco, and ambient grooves, and The Cave, a notorious underground haven where things get deep, dark, and wild. 17-19 April
Singapore: Sunda Festival

On April 17–19, Sunda Festival 2025 transforms Singapore’s MDLR and Sarimbun Scout Camp into a multi-sensory playground of cutting-edge music, striking visuals, and immersive experiences. Organised by Ice Cream Sundays and FuFu Creative, this year’s edition kicks off with an opening night at MDLR featuring Rush Hour Records co-founder Antal, before expanding into the lush outdoors with three distinct stages each designed by Singapore-based artists. The line-up boasts a mix of international and regional talent, including Soichi Terada, Yu Su, Chucheewa, Danilo Plessow (aka Motor City Drum Ensemble), and Parisian collective La Mamie’s, alongside homegrown acts like Leland, Daryl Knows, and Loyboy. Japan: Rainbow Disco Club

Rainbow Disco Club 2025 is set to ignite the Higashi-Izu Cross Country Course in Shizuoka, Japan, from April 18-20. This year's festival boasts an impressive line-up, including a special five-hour set by Gilles Peterson, performances by Ron Trent, Chaos In The CBD, live performances by Kuniyuki and Xiaolin and a b2b session featuring DJ Nobu and Batu. With a diverse array of artists across two stages, attendees can anticipate an unforgettable weekend immersed in top-tier electronic music. Taiwan: Organik Festival

Organik Festival is ready to whisk us into a three-day sonic escape on Taiwan’s stunning North Coast Peninsula. Japan: Star Festival

Star Festival is set to take over Kyoto Prefectural Forest Hiyoshi (Hapiro no Mori Kyoto) on May 17-18, bringing a stellar line-up of electronic music heavyweights. Expect high-energy sets from Interplanetary Criminal, Binh, DJ Masda, Nicolas Lutz, DJ Storm, Lena Willikens, Okadada, and a live showcase from Soichi Terada, with more names to be revealed. Known as the event that defied Japan’s Dance Ban Law, it’s definitely worth checking out—especially when surrounded by Kyoto’s scenic greenery.

Korea: The Air House

The Air House is returning to South Korea with another edition of its underground music festival. Indonesia: LOCUS Bali

LOCUS returns to Bali for its 2025 edition from June 19-22 at Nuanu Creative City. Celebrating 25 years of drum'n'bass excellence, this four-day festival promises an unparalleled line-up of world-class d’n’b artists. Japan: Rural

Japan: Fuji Rock Festival

Fuji Rock Festival is set to take over the stunning Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata from July 25-27. While this year’s line-up is still under wraps, past editions have hosted electronic heavyweights like Kraftwerk and Peggy Gou, setting the bar high for what's to come. Japan: Ultra Japan

Ultra Japan is making its highly anticipated return to Tokyo Odaiba Ultra Park on September 13-14, 2025. Japan: The Labyrinth

The Labyrinth, happening October 12–14, 2024, in Japan's stunning Minakami Hodaigi Camp Site, is set to deliver a weekend of top-quality music. Surrounded by vibrant autumn leaves and under starry skies, the festival prioritises pristine sound quality for a fully immersive experience. Previous editions have seen heavyweights like Donato Dozzy, Peter Van Hoesen, and DJ Nobu shape the sonic landscape—expect nothing less this year. 14-16 November
Thailand: Rolling Loud

Calling all hip hop heads; Rolling Loud Thailand returns on November 14-16, 2025, at a new location to be announced. Reflecting on last year’s event at Legend Siam Pattaya, the festival featured headliners like A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, and Lil Wayne, along with performances by Wiz Khalifa, Tyga, Jay Park, and Akon. Thailand: Maho Rasop

Maho Rasop, Bangkok's premier international independent music event, is set to return in November. Known for its diverse line-up, past editions have featured acts like Jitwam, Young Marco, Batu, and ryota. Based on previous years, 2025 promises another stellar selection, blending indie, rock, and electronic music in a dynamic festival experience.

5-7 December
Hong Kong: Clockenflap

Hong Kong's premier outdoor music and arts festival heads to Central Harbourfront from December 5-7, 2025. Though no line-up announced yet, previous editions have hosted the likes of Jamie xx, Porter Robinson, FKJ, Dave Clark, Air, Kim Ann Foxman, Yung Singh, underscoring the festival's reputation for diverse and high-calibre performances (plus unmissable afters!). With multiple stages and a vibrant atmosphere, Clockenflap 2025 is definitely one for electronic music enthusiasts and festival-goers alike.

Indonesia: Djakarta Warehouse Project

Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP), one of Asia’s biggest electronic music festivals usually kicks off in early/mid December, and promises a massive weekend of dance music in Jakarta. Known for its high-energy productions and stacked line-ups, past editions hosted by Ismaya Live have featured global heavyweights like Calvin Harris, Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix, and David Guetta, alongside regional and local talent such as Weird Genius, Winky Wiryawan, Bleu Clair, and Dipha Barus.

India: Magnetic Fields

One that's always on our list; Magnetic Fields. Last year's event celebrated 10 years with the theme Unified Field, with heavy-hitters like Nicola Cruz, David August, Midland, and Sofia Kourtesis, following past sets from legends like Ben UFO. Set against the stunning 17th-century Alsisar Mahal, it’s a weekend where cutting-edge electronic sounds meet art, culture, and mind-expanding experiences.

Thailand: Wonderfruit

Closing out the year, it's impossible to pass on Wonderfruit before the holiday slowdown. Last year’s edition brought unforgettable sets from Cobblestone Jazz, Gonno, Danilo Plessow, and Octave One, alongside the sunrise moments at the Solar Stage, hidden forest raves, the IV drips, and immersive art experiences.
