Midnight Shift announce spellbinding ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U compilation

Singapore's subterranean purveyors Midnight Shift are once again in cerebral release action, this time turning to underground hero ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U to provide a mesmerising compilation album.

'Midnight Is Comin'' sees the Osaka-based DJ call on a selection of his peers to contribute sounds to his immersive mix, with the likes of DJ Nobu, Ryo Murakami, Gabber Modus Operandi, and Sapphire Slows among those with exclusive music featured. As anyone who has witnessed Yukimatsu in turntable action will expect, the compilation effortlessly journeys through sounds and styles, conjuring a complex story that goes far beyond the scope of the average DJ mix.

While ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U may not be a household name, he counts among his admirers some of the most influential names on the electronic underground. A true 'DJ's DJ', his far-reaching sets have seen him invited to perform at the last three Berlin Atonal Festivals, having first appeared on the radar thanks to a 2014 performance at DJ Nobu's illustrious FUTURE TERROR event. “Versatile is not even close to describing his music selection and mixing skills as he plays anything without prejudice and is purely music loving,” says Bangkok-based nolens.volens. “He is extremely humble, can mix anything and make it sound interesting.”

'Midnight Is Comin'' includes 12 exquisite tracks, encompassing nuanced shades of the deepest forms of electronica. You can check Yukimatsu's Bolier Room session from Dommune, Tokyo, here:
