Watch: Dipha Barus takes his beats to the streets

Last month, Indonesian producer Dipha Barus in collaboration with Jago Coffee led a one-of-a-kind event named Jago Pesta which transformed a simple coffee cart into a rolling DJ booth.

Inspired by the local tradition of "dangdut keliling" where music from carts moves through the streets, Dipha took it up a notch by delivering a dynamic set from a custom-built Jago Coffee cart.

The event blended electronic remixes of his tracks with iconic Indonesian pop and rock, along with several dancefloor bangers, creating an exciting fusion of sound with a hint of cultural background.

Today, he shares the video of the full set that was enjoyed by over a total of 500 people who followed him around Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno sports complex, dancing to his selection of tunes while sipping on freshly brewed coffee.

Dipha has also teamed up with Grammy-winning global R&B superstar Ciara in releasing an official remix of her song ‘Goodies’.

Celebrating 20 years of the original anthem, this remix amps up Ciara’s vocals with Dipha’s catchy house beats, delivering a track that resonates with today’s evolving music tastes.

“‘Goodies’ was an anthem back in my school days. In 2021, I decided to create a house bootleg remix so I could play it in my own sets and share it with other DJs. I sent it out to over 1,000 local and international DJs, but only one responded. Fast forward two years, and Ciara’s team reached out to officially release the remix,” Dipha states.
