Thailand's More Rice Records has celebrated its anniversary in style, releasing two expansive compilation LPs that bring together over 30 of Asia’s most talented producers.
Over the past seven years, co-founders DOTT and Sarayu have established More Rice as a cornerstone of house music across Asia.
These anniversary compilations are less about self-congratulation and more about honouring and championing the region’s thriving music scene—a mission they have undoubtedly accomplished.
True to the label’s ethos, the projects showcase a diverse array of genres and styles, spanning deep house, dub minimal, techno, electro, trance, and more.
Each track reflects the rich, eclectic sounds emerging from Asia’s various vibrant underground music communities.
The first compilation features Gato Latex, Rudoh, MONOPHONIK, Kova O Sarin, bagvs, Ground, Junoy Manalo, Stephan Kain, DZ GAS, Dexter Colt, Meltmode, Liem, Jesse You, Xiaolin, Sarayu, and Chalo.

While it feels almost unfair to single out favourites from such a rich collection, a few tracks that encapsulate the various sounds and stylings on the projects come from Jesse You, Rudoh, MONOPHONIK, Kova O Sarin, Junoy Manalo, Saint Guel, Dexter Colt, FSJ, Koliseum, Zokhuma, and Jirus. We’re not saying these are necessarily our favourites, just a few impressive entries that act as even more impressive posters for various subcultures.
We strongly suggest listening to each and every track, exploring the full spectrum of talent on offer and seeing what resonates with you.
The LPs are a must-listen for any house-head and we’re more than confident there’s something for anyone across these tracklists.
