DOTT releases ‘Rotary Turbo’ EP, complete with off-kilter remixes
The More Rice Records co-founder shows his most playful & intricate work to date, supported by Tobi Neumann & Saktu
DOTT is back with a 4-track EP titled ‘Rotary Turbo’, out today via Thai label, Heisenberg. The release features two original tracks from DOTT himself and extraordinary remixes by Tobi Neumann and Saktu, both offering their unique interpretations of the project.
Although the EP is rooted in minimal, there are elements of electro and deep house throughout, intertwined expertly with the artist’s typical trippy grooves.
Speaking to Mixmag Asia, DOTT mentioned this EP is heavily inspired by his first European tour in 2019, with most of the work being made in the gears of Elektron, including Digitakt l, Analogue Rhythm and Octatrak.

The title track ‘Rotary Turbo’ is a playful yet impactful sizzler. From the start, you’re met with intricate basslines, setting the tone for the track. Before you know it, you’re hit with cheeky synth melodies and relentless, engaging percussion. The mid-track breakdown gives a brief sense of relief before the bassline kicks back into gear, getting the track back on the rails.

“I’m trying to make it a looping track, but always constantly moving and evolving,” says the More Rice Records co-founder about the title track. It’s a masterfully crafted cut, with subtleties and excitement from all angles, making it incredibly fun, brimming with personality and flavour. It’s off-kilter, it’s madness; it’s some of DOTT’s best work yet.
DOTT has recently been invited to perform at the UK’s Craig Richards-curated event Houghton Festival in early August alongside names like Ben UFO, DJ Masda, Roy Ayers and many more.
