SYS Sister Sounds releases all Asian female/NB compilation
The release, featuring producers from Vietnam, Cambodia, Australia and many more, will donate all its profits to PARA Foundation
Vietnamese and Australian label SYS Sister Sounds has released a compilation made up entirely of Asian female/NB producers, with all profits going to PARA Foundation.
The label, quickly becoming known for its community outreach in the form of events like Pho The Girls, as well as its continued commitment to charity, is responsible for the very aptly named ‘UNITY’ compilation.
Featuring the likes of label head Maggie Tra, Naarm-based hyperpop rising star nabii, Zeadala, machine, ephemeral objects, DWANS feat. earthangelbaby and Ambu Bambu, the release covers a wide variety of sounds from house to hip hop and ambience.

Made up entirely of Asian female/NB producers, the influence of their heritage is heard consistently throughout, with sounds and instruments hailing from all around the world. Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, China, Netherlands, Thailand and Canada have come together on ‘UNITY’, and all for a good cause.

Of the compilation, SSS founder Maggie Tra said, “As Asian artists’ today, we feel so helpless with what’s going on. Music is what we know, so we wanted to connect together and release something that could go towards helping the people in need.”
“I feel so grateful to have these producers jump on board on this, this is what SSS is all about, and that’s the beauty of uniting together. We want to send a message of hope and togetherness,” she said.
Profits from the compilation will go towards PARA Foundation, an Australian-based organisation dedicated to helping Palestinian migrants and refugees live safe, happy and fulfilling lives on Australian shores.
