French house pioneer DJ Deep kicks off 4-date Asia tour
The Deeply Rooted head honcho will perform in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Tokyo & Seoul from September 30 to October 4
DJ Deep returns to Asia for a four-date tour out together by European media-slash-events organiser Dure Vie and Hong Kong-based artist booking agency Tom Ray 先生, stopping in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Tokyo, and Seoul.
Taking place from September 30 to October 4, each date brings together international names and key local artists for a series of club nights across the region.
Cyril Étienne, better known as DJ Deep, has been one of France’s most enduring figures in house and techno since emerging from Paris’ underground in the late 1980s. He first came to prominence playing at Laurent Garnier’s Paris Wake Up parties at Rex Club before carving out his own path as a selector, producer, label owner, and radio host.
With his Deeply Rooted imprint, he has released music from Kerri Chandler, Ben Klock, and François X, while his own productions have appeared on Tresor, Rekids, and Kaoz Theory.

He’s also done collaborative projects with Roman Poncet (aka Traumer) under aliases such as Adventice and Sergie Rezza, highlighting his range across house, techno, and more experimental forms.
In addition, this year he launched Get-Rooted with Traumer, a joint venture label blending their distinct styles. Its first release dropped in April.
The Asia tour begins September 30 at Hong Kong’s Pier 1929 with Soichi Terada, Sunsiaré, Jayme b2b Andy S, and Katagyal.

Bangkok follows on October 2 at BEAMCUBE with a More Rice Records b2b from DOTT and Sarayu, while Tokyo’s Shibuya O-EAST hosts Gonno, Slowmotion, and Voyage Voyage on October 3.
The final date lands in Seoul on October 4 across Beton Brut and Concrète Bar with Conan, Afrodite, Sun Of June, Moeuv, and Dudu.
