Indonesia’s techno producers take centre stage in ‘Revolt’ compilation

Indonesia-based labels and collectives Underradar Records, Koronna Collective and Bordel Ensemble Records are set to release the ‘Revolt’ compilation on January 31.

Dubbed “the first techno compilation in Indonesia”, it features contributions from 23 adept producers all based within the archipelago, collectively elevating the country's techno landscape onto the global stage.

Ranging anywhere from dub and hypnotic to minimal and soulful and more, the compilation illuminates the diverse and vibrant tapestry of the techno genre, as interpreted by its key players.

Among the line-up of producers are the notable Indonesian techno guru and Axis Records contributor Ecilo, groove techno pioneer and founder of Batalion techno movement Andra, modular synth duo Random Brothers known for their sonic versatility, longtime female techno stalwart STEF. and more.

Naturally, the release houses more than established names. Representing the rising talents in the Indonesian techno scene are Toro, Yose, BBANDIT, P.I.A and more.
