Mixmag Asia takes over IT’S THE SHIP’s outdoor stage for special sunrise set

IT’S THE SHIP’s Halloween charter sets sail on November 1-3, where shipmates will be able to enjoy a “deeper, darker, dirtier” experience of Asia’s largest festival at sea.

The event recently dropped its full line-up, which includes Australian duo Knife Party for a returning performance plus highly anticipated IT’S THE SHIP debuts from Flosstradamus and Infected Mushroom.

For this Halloween edition, the headliners won’t be the only thing keeping shipmates up in the night as organisers have also set up special themed parties all cruise long — with Mixmag Asia on board!

We’ve curated a takeover of one of the ship’s outdoor stages for ‘Get Dawn (Sunrise Set)’, which is exactly that: three hours of quality beats, served up by three artists who have been making waves in the Asian electronic music scene.

Indonesia’s Cyda is known for being a purveyor of feel-good cuts that exude rhythmic grooves and is not one to shy away from using darker-sounding synths to keep it all in balance.

One of Vietnam’s most promising talents, ling:chi, also joins the early morning aural offering. Expect a set that’s nothing short of energetic and groovy as she soundtracks the rising sun with a plethora of pleasurable sounds.

Also set to take over the decks is DJ (and Dr.!) Mengzy, a passionate advocate of the Hong Kong music scene and bass-heavy music. Shipmates are sure to experience peak-time pleasure as she provides all the right cuts to keep you going while welcoming the warm sun.

The Mixmag Asia ‘Get Dawn (Sunrise Set)’ stage takeover happens on the first sunrise aboard the cruise — no better way to start your day.
