Kimoji’s Terribly Measured returns with stellar compilation of reimagined classics

Terribly Measured drops its sixth compilation ‘Terribly Measured Edits Galore 006’ with three edits from Angga, Jassa aka Herta, Munir and label-boss Kimoji.

Launched just last year by Kimoji, Terribly Measured has quickly made a name for itself with an impressive roster that includes veterans like Xiaolin, Closet Yi, MAYURASHKA, ffan, and the bossman himself.

Now, the label returns with its sixth release, arguably its most potent yet.

This time around, the compilation is made up entirely of edits; reimagined classics with a fresh, forward-facing twist.

Kicking things off is Jassa’s ‘Lihat’, a rolling, percussive heater packed with tribal flair and an infectious energy. It’s the kind of track that feels like a lost treasure from another era—something you’d dig out of a dusty record bin and instantly fall in love with.

Next up, Label head Kimoji is up with ‘Sly & Pfide’, starting with a stripped-back, atmospheric intro laced with booming thunder and subtle tension. From there, it morphs into a wild ride—warped synths, eerie laughter, slashing guitar licks, and haunting string flourishes all held together by a groove-laden bassline and evolving horn sections. It’s a track teeming with personality, building an entire world in just five minutes.

Following that comes Munir’s ‘Thunder’, complete with haunting nostalgia-driven vocals from the original by ‘Biwi’. The track is a no-frills fun-fest and is a perfect send-off to a solid release.

Rounding out the project is Angga’s take on ‘Flesh & Bone’—a sizzling, attitude-heavy cut layered with warping synths and anchored by minimal yet wickedly catchy vocals. It’s irresistibly fun and practically begs for a spin on a massive soundsystem.

The release will also have a launch event at Zodiac Jakarta tomorrow night (Saturday, April 26).
