Lee Burridge returns to Hong Kong for rare homecoming set on April 12

Get ready, Hong Kong—Lee Burridge is coming home.

On April 12, 2025, the global house music icon will return to the city where it all began, delivering an intimate, deeply personal set at SOHO House Hong Kong.

Before he became a fixture at Burning Man, Coachella, Tomorrowland, and Glastonbury, Lee was cutting his teeth in Hong Kong’s underground club scene.

Arriving in 1991 for what was meant to be a short stay, he ended up spending six years DJing marathon sets—often lasting 7-10 hours—at spots like The Big Apple and Neptunes, curating Sunday raves, and setting the blueprint for the city’s early electronic music movement.

As the mastermind behind All Day I Dream, he’s shaped a sound that blends ethereal soundscapes with deep grooves, floating melodies, and subtle percussion, creating a sound that is both dreamlike and deeply immersive.

Whether it’s beachside sunrise sets or warehouse peak-time moments, Lee’s ability to tell a story through music is what sets him apart.

Reflecting on his past experiences in Hong Kong, Lee shares with Mixmag Asia: "When I was last in Hong Kong, the energy of the crowd was frenetic and deeply knowledgeable to the vibe and music. Smiling faces and locked into the dancefloor. It’s always a pleasure returning to what I consider to be the place I got to explore many different genres over the years."

He adds, "Since I was last there, I’ve really gotten to explore a sound that conjures up sunrises and sunsets in deserts and cities. The melodic vibes bring the love, but the rolling grooves and big bass lines really move the body. Expect a deep rolling set with a mixture of sick sounds and beautiful vocals. It’s music for the girls and the guys."

His return isn’t just another stop on his tour—it’s a full-circle moment, a chance for Hong Kong’s original clubbing community to relive the magic and for a new generation to experience his storytelling firsthand.

David from Small&Tall, who also brought Lee to Hong Kong in 2012, highlights the city’s significance for the UK-based producer: “Basically it is a homecoming party for a DJ who helped shape the Hong Kong clubbing scene from an early stage (1991-1997)—and many people remain in the city who continue to remember these as the halcyon days of Hong Kong nightlife.”

The night on April 12 will be supported by David himself, along with Arun R, before Lee Burridge takes the decks.
