With Vietnam now back in full swing, the announcement of EPIZODE5:EPILOGUE could not be more timely. The fifth edition of the infamous techno beach festival has not only confirmed that it would be returning to the sun-drenched shores of Sunset Santao beach on Phú Quốc island in Vietnam, but it will also be extended by one day, running non-stop for 12 epic days and nights. With the situation starting to improve for travel and festivals, we’re inclined to suggest that you pencil in December 29 2020 to January 10 2021.
The festival weighs in as one of the most prolific underground electronic music events in Asia, mainly for the big international players on the programme but also increasingly more for the consistent limelight being shone on some of Asia’s electronic honchos like Hibiya Line, Zig Zach, Ouissam, Sunju Hargun and DOTT.
Last year’s line-up saw mainstage fireworks go off for Jamie Jones, HVOB and Agents of Time, while several global crews including the Moscow nightclub collective Arma17, spearheaded by the uncandid face of the festival Ricardo Villalobos who reigned supreme for what always seems like an infinite party at the Frisbee Stage.
The first round of artists for the 2020 edition are expected soon.
For those who have yet to venture out to the pristine shores of Phú Quốc for a techno escapade, EPIZODE is undoubtedly a festival for the hedonistic, the committed and certainly those with stamina. From sun-soaked yoga and wellness sessions to stunning stage production to some of the best electronic music programming in Asia, the festival serves as the perfect break to ring in what will undoubtedly be a better year in 2021. Music and art come together for the fifth time across the white sand shores of the Southern Vietnamese island of Phú Quốc.
An early bird option for a 12-day multi-pass to EPIZODE5: EPILOGUE will be available from June 11 2020 onwards, priced at 158 Euros here.
