These are all the Asian acts playing at Coachella in 2020

Year after year, Coachella delivers the ultimate gift to help people all over the world ring in the new year — its gargantuan line-up. Taking place in the desert just outside of Palm Springs, California, the festival is easily one of the world’s biggest across the music spectrum — headlining slots are amongst the most coveted in the world.

This year, Rage Against The Machine, Travis Scott and Frank Ocean have all been awarded the top slot. Although no Asian artists have made it to the coveted headlining spot, the festival has announced more Asian acts than ever before.

Aside from South Korean superstar Peggy Gou and DJs Yaeji and TOKiMONSTA, almost of the other Asian artists fall into the live music category but we’re ultra proud nonetheless.

88 rising are making a big statement this year with several of their crew playing the MainStage including Joji, Rich Brian, and NIKI. 88rising have also teased something else special on their Facebook, writing “ALSO SOMETHING SPECIAL...DOUBLE HAPPINESS is coming soon let’s mob the desert”.

Representing Southeast Asia is Filipino British singer baebadoobee who will perform on Saturday and from South Asia is Indian American R&B singer Raveena and Bangladeshi American Jai Wolf.

From our neighbors to the north, virtual reality Japanese singer Hatsune Miku will descend upon the desert on Friday with J-pop act Kayry Pamyu Pamyu following Japanese American Youtube singer Conan Gray slated for Sunday.

K-pop did so well last year at Coachella that several more groups have been booked for 2020. K-pop boy band BIGBANG and rap group Epik High are set to play on Friday.

All acts play on both both weekends, April 10-12 and April 17-19, 2020.

See the full line-up below:

Coachella takes place on April 10-12 and April 17-19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Weekend one is sold out but weekend two passes go on sale Monday January 6 at 3pm PT (and will likely sell out within minutes). Register here.
