Yaeji releases new Remix of Robyn’s 'Beach 2K20'
The Korean-born New Yorker created a fun, quirky blend of electro-pop
Straight outta Flushing, Queens, Korean-born DJ, singer, and producer Yaeji has recently dropped a remix of Swedish pop star Robyn’s single ‘Beach 2K20’ from her new album ‘Honey’.
Yaeji is known for making warm, blissful house-pop, and she doesn’t disappoint here — with a bubbly, electro-muzak bag of joy that exudes healing sonic energy with a gentle, intimate and murmuring tone and a super catchy — if repetitive —lyric.
Having started off her career in Brooklyn’s vibrant local dance scene, Yaeji has been releasing critically acclaimed EPs and singles like ‘Raingurl’ for a few years now through the Godmode label, plus a profile-raising release with 88 Rising in 2017, ‘Drink I’m Sippin On’. She also scored with a remix of Charli XCX’s ‘Focus’ last year.
