Four producers explore multiple club angles for STEF.’s ‘Cyborg Dance’
Bernardus Fritz, Turismo Avenue, Discokid909 & Hi(gh) Hat offer contrasting remixes, reshaping the track through space disco, ambient, tech-house & techno perspectives
‘Cyborg Dance’ returns in remix form with four producers offering sharply defined reinterpretations of STEF.’s original track.
As LeftRight Sound’s 40th release which dropped August last year, the track’s core elements provide a flexible framework that each remix approaches from a different angle, shifting mood, tempo, and texture without losing its identity.
Bernardus Fritz opens the series by steering the track toward space disco. From the outset, tough, steady beats establish a grounded pulse while crisp synth lines and a driving bassline push the track forward. The atmosphere remains airy, but the energy is insistent, with bright stabs cutting through to add tension and lift.

Turismo Avenue pulls the track into more cinematic territory. This ambient-leaning remix stretches the original’s motifs into a slow-building arc, letting the familiar bassline pulse quietly beneath evolving textures. The result is expansive and patient, gradually rising toward a wide, immersive peak.

Discokid909 shifts the focus again, pushing ‘Cyborg Dance’ into deeper, tech-oriented waters. The groove feels weightless at first, with layered details drifting in and out. Percussive accents and processed vocals emerge subtly, adding complexity without disrupting the flow.
Hi(gh) Hat delivers a direct techno interpretation. Right from the get-go, the percussions propel you forward. The subtle melody that crescendos then guides you to sway, before a clatter of percussions ground you back. Definitely for those who like it darker.
