Anton Wirjono’s ‘The Reverse’ gets a 2025 refresh with a remix EP
The Future10 co-founder revives his deep house chugger with reworks from Cyda, C.A.K.R.A.W.A.L.A., and his own acid-infused 'Space Age Mix'

Jakarta’s dance music stalwart Anton Wirjono is bringing new life to ‘The Reverse’ with a remix EP that reshapes his 2020 deep house cut.
Originally released on ‘Future10 EP Vol.1’—the debut compilation from the pioneering Future10 collective—‘The Reverse’ was a swirling, psychedelic chugger, crafted in lockdown as Anton reignited his passion for production.
Now, it gets a proper single release, backed by heavyweight reworks from Cyda, C.A.K.R.A.W.A.L.A., and Anton himself.
The original track is a slow-burning deep house gem, packed with minimal grooves, crisp percussions, and a hypnotic synth progression that unfolds into airy, spaced-out bliss—ideal for winding down a peak-time set into after-hours territory.

On the remix, C.A.K.R.A.W.A.L.A., the new project from Hogi Wirjono, presents a rework that leans more towards the percussive side. Maintaining the chugging bassline of the original, he builds on its ethereal elements, elevating its hypnotic essence with soaring synth pads and a relentless groove.

Meanwhile, Cyda injects ‘The Reverse’ with a dose of ‘90s prog-house energy, layering acidic textures, euphoric chords, and laser-sharp synths to create a vibrant, high-octane dancefloor tool.
Anton himself delivers the ‘Space Age Mix’, tweaking the original with subtle acid house influences, adding bubbling 303s and cosmic flourishes for a trippier, late-night feel.
