Offtrack secures spot on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 list
Three-and-a-half years after launching, the Singapore bar has grown into one of the country's key creative spaces
Singapore’s music-forward space, Offtrack, has landed the #23 spot on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025.
Opened in early 2022 by Dean Chew (Darker Than Wax) and Daniel O’Connor (Ice Cream Sundays), Offtrack was never meant to be just a bar or restaurant.
“I didn’t conceptualise Offtrack primarily as a cocktail bar or dining spot per se...it’s an amalgamation of those two pillars but always with music at the core,” says Dean. “We managed to weave all of these components together in a very organic and natural way.”
Music remains central. The bar features restored Klipsch La Scala speakers (famously used at David Mancuso’s Loft parties in New York) and a vinyl-ready DJ booth that has hosted the likes of Bongomann, Ani Phoebe, Kimmah, Norsicaa, Marco Weibel, and many more.
Its curated playlists explore jazz, soul, and vintage Asian cuts, played in a space designed for deep listening.

Beyond music, Offtrack is also mentioned as “a favourite spot for the creative community in Singapore”; a reputation backed by its ongoing support.

Art showcases with regional collectives like Indonesia’s Krack! Studio and local curatorial body MAMA MAGNET, a lifestyle collab with Indonesian footwear brand Hijack Sandals, and a menu design series featuring local artists are just a few examples.
“All of these little touchpoints have allowed us to foster a stronger bond with the creative community and beyond,” Dean adds.
