Javabass Soundsystem marks 25 years with ‘Homegrown’ compilation

Indonesia’s pioneering drum’n’bass collective, Javabass Soundsystem, celebrates a 25-year legacy with the release of ‘Homegrown’.

Released digitally and as a double CD, the compilation brings together 25 producers from across the archipelago, featuring names from Javabass Recordings’ roster, rising stars, and competition winners.

Visually, ‘Homegrown’ is elevated by Jakarta-based artist Popomangun, who created striking artwork for the release, drawing on the rhythms and moods of each track to deliver a vibrant, research-driven narrative.

Supported by Bandung-based streetwear label UNITEDHART, the project reflects the community spirit that has defined Javabass Soundsystem since its inception.
