FTK channels “The Five Venoms” into a genre-bending concept LP
Inspired by a forbidden sorcery ritual, the Taiwanese artist turns ancient myth into a one-of-a-kind sonic experience

The Cave founder and Taiwanese artist FTK unveils '5ENOM', a conceptual LP rooted in the dark mysticism of “The Five Venoms”.
The concept is drawn from an ancient ritual from Gu sorcery that involves sealing five deadly creatures—a snake, scorpion, centipede, toad, and the mythical yu—into a single vessel.
As these creatures battle within the jar, their venoms merge into a singular, hyper-potent toxin. The sorcerer must live alongside this volatile entity, forging an eerie bond.

When one creature prevails, the poison is said to be complete—transcendent, and dangerous.
'5ENOM' mirrors this ritual through sound, with each track following a stage of the process: gathering, binding, fusing, transforming.

The LP blends a palette of techno, drum'n'bass, bass, breakbeat and experimental electronics with traditional Asian folk elements.
The outcome is a genre-bending, mind-warping listen—unpredictable, potent, and deeply physical.
