Ding Dong Disko bids farewell with a final series of events

After nearly six years in Jakarta’s nightlife scene, Ding Dong Disko is closing its doors at the end of February.

Located in A3000 Creative Compound, the venue has been a hub for both underground and mainstream music, making it a staple in the city’s nightlife circuit.

Several international names who have previously graced the space include Central, Sunju Hargun, Matisa, Manfredas, Ivan Smagghe, and Budino.

As part of the 3000 Group’s evolution, Ding Dong Disko is hosting a month-long farewell celebration this month, featuring a line-up that honours its legacy and sets the stage for what’s next.

The events kick off on February 7 with Phunktion, Indonesia’s longest-running drum’n’bass night by Javabass Soundsystem, headlined by the UK’s Degs. The energy continues on February 8 with their Off the Record night, featuring MAAD, Droopy, Los Chicos, and Kraus.

February 13 sees Girls Don’t Dry spotlighting female-driven sounds with Pak Kardiman, Shafa, Trisa, and Nasha, leading up to the highlight event: Space Trip on February 1.

The series also included Slicer on February 1, a night of bass-heavy sets by Komunitas Jenglot, a collective known for having its finger on the pulse of Jakarta’s underground bass scene.
