Daft Punk’s new ‘Contact’ music video revisits duo’s iconic imagery
In collaboration with Epic Games and Magnopus, it comes ahead of the ‘Human After All (Remixes)’ vinyl reissue, which lands on November 28
Daft Punk return to the screen with a new video for ‘Contact’ which dropped on November 7 in collaboration with Epic Games and Magnopus.
The video opens with a cinematic long shot: the two masked figures suspended in outer space. It revisits the duo’s iconic imagery, from the ‘One More Time’ animation to the glowing pyramid and the familiar spelling of ‘HUMAN’.
The release follows Thomas Bangalter’s surprise performance at Paris’ Centre Pompidou on October 25—his first DJ set in 16 years, sparking renewed excitement among fans.

Words flash across the screen—“human”, “robot”, “save”, “code”, “cut”, “play”, “scroll”— reflecting our overstimulated, always-online world.
The music video is the perfect warm-up to the ‘Human After All (Remixes)’ vinyl reissue, which lands on November 28 and features names like Soulwax, Erol Alkan, Basement Jaxx, and Peaches.
