Fortnite announces “first of its kind” Daft Punk collaboration
Players can remix the robots’ music and hit the Daft Club
Daft Punk will become the subject of a new, “immersive” in-game experience in Fortnite later this week.
In a “first of its kind” experience for the video game, players will be able to “step through the veil and embark on a sonic journey through the minds of the GRAMMY-winning electronic duo” on Friday, September 27.
The Daft Punk Experience comes to life in-game at 2:PM Eastern Time (ET), allowing users to enter a “retro-futuristic realm celebrating the band’s legacy”.

Once inside, you’re invited to remix Daft Punk’s music at Dream Chamber Studios, blow up robots with a soundwave laser in the Robot Rock Arena, make a LEGO® music video at Around the World, or party at the Daft Club.
The immersive experience also features a soundtrack of Daft Punk classics, kicking off with a “supercut from their legendary ‘Alive’ tour and ‘Alive’ 2007 album”.
Players will also discover furniture inside the game, designed by long-term Daft Punk collaborator and creative director Cédric Hervet of Hervet Manufacturier.

A Daft Punk Bundle will also be available in the Fortnite shop, featuring collectible items such as the robots’ GM08 helmets, outfits, instruments, and accessories.
The Weeknd (aka Abel Tesfaye) shared a teaser of the new experience on Instagram, alluding that he may also appear as a special guest.
You can access the Daft Punk Experience in Fortnite’s Discover from 2:PM ET on Saturday, September 27. Find out more details here.
