808 Festival moves to Pattaya with Zedd, Dillon Francis, Borgore & more

Things have been quiet on the 808 Festival page following a period of uncertainty after the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej in October. Much of the country went dark after the country went into mourning and that included bars and nightclubs. Massive festivals like Wonderfruit, Mystic Valley Festival and Paradise Island were postponed to 2017.

But the ban was recently lifted and electronic music fans in Thailand have since been awaiting news of their beloved 808 Festival to see whether or not it would proceed as planned.

Well good news for Thailand today. Not only will the show go on but it will move to the coastal town of Pattaya, just a short drive from Bangkok and it has retained its usual massive line-up.

Phase 2 additions see Zedd, Dillon Francis, Borgore and W&W added to the bill. They join previously announced acts Hardwell, Carnage, MaRlo and Valentino Khan.

Phase 3 is still to come and we have it on good authority to say that the best is yet to come. Wait for it.

808 Festival will take place on December 10th and 11th at the Nongnooch Pattaya Garden and Resort. The following Monday is a holiday in Thailand so here you have the perfect recipe for a long weekend getaway.

Tickets are are sale and can be purchased here. Accommodation information at discounted rates for festivalgoers is available here.

Coming to life in 2013, 808 Festival expands to two day this year from one for the first time and artists will play across two stages. The festival also expands to neighboring Myanmar for the first time this year.
