Steve Aoki, Lay Zhang & will.i.am link up for 'Love You More'
The announcement follows Aoki’s forthcoming album Neon Future IV slated to release on 3 April
As a follow up to the announcement of Aoki’s upcoming release and sixth studio album, ‘Neon Future IV’, the Dim Mak bossman recently, and excitedly, introduced news of a collaboration with Chinese pop star Lay Zhang and will.i.am. ‘Love You More’ is a straight up pop hit, with a touch of class by two-time Grammy winning producer Steve Aoki.
As quoted by the Black Eyed Peas former-front man, “working with Aoki is always magical, and Lay is an amazing artist. This collaboration is cultural exchange at its finest, when East meets West”. Undoubtedly, this is a diverse collaboration, but surely a strategic one that keeps an ever-growing potential fan base in China on their toes.
No stranger to partnering with trending Asian talent, Aoki has previously teamed up with K-Pop Kings BTS and the likes of MONSTA X. It’s no surprise that this record was conceived with an artist who has a staggering fan base of 60 million worldwide, in addition to holding the top spot as best selling artist on Tencent Music Entertainment platform (which boasts a 900 million user base).
The new album, ‘Neon Future IV’ will be released on Aoki’s Dim Mak Records and will include contributions from Alan Walker, DJ Alok, Timmy Trumpet and Dutch outfits Showtek and Bassjackers.
‘Love You More’ by Steve Aoki, Lay Zhang and will.i.am is out now on Ultra Music. Listen to the package and buy it here.
