Future Asian Music by 88rising kicks off regional tour this month

Future Asian Music (FAM) and Levi’s are teaming up this month for Road to FAM—a free, multi-city music series across Manila, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta.

Spotlighting the next generation of trailblazing artists from the region, all Road to FAM events lead to a high-energy finale at FAM Bangkok this summer.

The tour celebrates Levi’s 50 jeans’ 150th anniversary and highlights FAM, the new music distribution platform launched by global music company 88rising to support and spotlight the next wave of Asian artists.

“For 150 years, Levi’s and the 501 have been part of music and cultural movements around the world. Road to FAM continues that legacy by helping spotlight Asia’s next generation of creative pioneers,” says Levi’s CMO Kenny Mitchell.

FAM is a new music platform designed to support the next generation of Asian talent powered by 88rising—the global music collective behind Head in the Clouds and artists like Joji, NIKI, Atarashii Gakko! and Rich Brian. Launched in 2024, it is designed to support early-stage artists by providing the tools, exposure, and opportunities they need to grow.

Road to FAM kicks off with a series of intimate hometown showcases from May 14-25, spotlighting four rising stars from Southeast Asia.

The line-up features Zack Tabudlo from the Philippines, the first Filipino male solo artist to reach 1 billion Spotify streams; Singapore’s Fariz Jabba, known for his genre-blending sound and strong local identity; Malaysia’s ZAMAERA, a pioneering voice in the country's hip-hop scene; plus Indonesia’s RAMENGVRL, the unapologetic rapper and five-time Anugerah Musik Indonesia winner.

These showcases lead up to a collaborative performance this summer, where the four will be joined by Thai global sensation MILLI.

The finale will be part of the larger FAM Bangkok festival—a citywide celebration of Asian music featuring emerging artists and a parallel music symposium at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.

In addition, there will also be a series of mini-documentaries tracing the journeys of each artist, spotlighting their roots, creativity, and cultural influence.
