mu”he’s 'Rain Dance' EP is a stormy techno trip that hypnotises
Out via PARNASSUS, the release packs two original heaters plus remixes from Toru Ikemoto & Dayzero
On December 19, Berlin-based artist mu”he dropped her second EP via her label, PARNASSUS.
The release marks another milestone for the artist who has seamlessly fused her Tokyo underground roots with the dynamic energy of Berlin’s electronic music scene.
It showcases mu”he’s sonic versatility through two original tracks: a dark, hypnotic techno piece that is title track ‘Rain Dance’ plus the breezy yet percussive ‘After the Storm’.
Opening with the sounds of lightning, thunder, and rainfall, ‘Rain Dance’ grips you from the start. A muted bassline lays the foundation, soon joined by atmospheric tones that fill the air with tension. A percussive groove kicks in, adding momentum, but it's the fluttering, otherworldly synths that truly steal the show, launching you into a 7-minute transcendental orbit.
In ‘After the Storm’, mu”he shifts gears to a more percussive palette. A steady bass drum anchors the track, complemented by sharp hi-hats and intricate percussive melodies. Breezy, airy synths drift in, evoking the calm and clarity that follows a storm, perfectly mirroring its title.

Toru Ikemoto brings his hard minimal style to ‘Rain Dance’, while Dayzero delivers a fresh interpretation of ‘After the Storm’ that leans a bit on the darker side.
“The contrasting concepts of techno and bass music have made this EP a unique creation. We are deeply grateful to work with these two outstanding artists,” mu”he shared.
mu”he began her career in Tokyo as a resident DJ at VENT Tokyo in 2018. Her FUSION party series at the venue played a pivotal role in shaping Tokyo’s techno scene by curating fresh line-ups that showcased local talent to a broader audience.

Since moving to Berlin in 2023, she’s performed at iconic venues like Tresor and ://about blank, and festivals such as Berlin Atonal and Whole Festival, while maintaining strong ties with Asia through tours in Japan and China.
Her label, PARNASSUS, reflects this duality, rooted in Shizuoka and Berlin, and is dedicated to fostering innovative sounds.
Next up, mu”he is set to perform at BEATFOREST in Bangkok, continuing her ascent as a force in electronic music.
