Jeff Mills’ Live At The Liquid Room tour lands at 宀 Club for two nights in November
The Detroit legend marks 30 years of his iconic Tokyo mix with a double appearance at Hong Kong’s underground institution
Jeff Mills, one of techno’s most enduring innovators, is set to perform two rare nights at 宀 Club, Hong Kong, on November 21 and November 22, 2025.
The shows mark the 30th anniversary of Live At The Liquid Room – Tokyo; Mills’ 1995 mix often regarded as a high point in DJ history.
For this tour, Mills is revisiting that pivotal moment, bringing it to an intimate setting that few venues in the world can provide. Stops include Tokyo, London, Osaka, Paris, and now Hong Kong, where 宀 Club has become a key space for electronic music in the region.
Often referred to as a founding figure of Detroit techno, Mills began as “The Wizard” on Detroit radio before co-founding the independent collective Underground Resistance in the late 1980s.
His solo work through Axis Records further defined his style: fast-paced, minimalist, and deeply futuristic. Tracks like ‘The Bells’ remain iconic, while his precision with three-deck sets earned him a reputation as one of techno’s most technically gifted DJs.

Beyond the club, Mills has consistently expanded the form, collaborating with symphony orchestras, composing film soundtracks, and presenting multimedia installations in institutions such as Le Louvre.
Since opening in 2018, 宀 Club has built a reputation as a cultural anchor in the region: a 100-capacity space with precise acoustic design, powered by Funktion-One, and upheld by a no-photo policy that emphasises the dancefloor experience.

Supporting Mills across the two nights are local artists Marco Yu, Fincent C, Mill.H, Yong Ying, Scott B, and Faxtory, each contributing their distinct sound.
Together, they frame the stage for Mills, whose work—from Underground Resistance to Axis Records and beyond—has shaped the evolution of techno worldwide.
