Hikaru Utada’s ‘Electricity Remixes’ lands on vinyl this July
The limited-edition release features reworks by Karen Nyame KG, Arca, and salute
Hikaru Utada will release a vinyl edition of ‘Electricity Remixes’ on July 9—an EP that features the original version of ‘Electricity’, a track from their best-of album, along with three remixes by Karen Nyame KG, Arca, and salute.
An influential figure in J-pop with a career spanning over two decades and numerous chart-topping albums, Utada recently returned to the Coachella stage for the first time in three years.
The remixes—originally released digitally earlier this year—offer distinct sonic takes: Karen Nyame KG leans into UK club sounds, Arca explores a more experimental edge, while salute delivers a dancefloor-driven rework.
