Gorgon City are about to drop their 18-track floor-centric album 'Olympia'
Fans of Gorgon City can expect a healthy list of collaborations
Announced back in April with a single, ‘Tell Me It’s True’, Gorgon City’s drop for ‘Olympia’ is imminent.
It’s an 18-track album loaded with dancefloor fillers that fuse both Chicago and UK house influences — this would be the first project where the duo are separated across the globe with Matt staying in London and Kye being in Chicago.
Fans of Gorgon City can expect a healthy list of collaborations that include Sofu Tukker, Rose Grey, Aura James and Josh Barry amongst a host of other refreshing artists.
Their locations and working via remote studios has been a huge influence on the album, particularly with Kye being in Chicago, the birthplace of house music — house-centric nuances reign across the 18-track album. Another inspiration behind the powerful sound of the album is its namesake — ‘Olympia’, which adds grandeur to how the album is a collection of the duo’s works over the years, referencing their deep attachment to the history of dance music.
Gorgon City ‘Olympia’ drops tomorrow, 25 June, on Astralwerks. You can pre-order here.
