Yu Su drops surprise line of wearables during Jakarta gig
The collection comes in collaboration with ZODIAC & features both parties’ names written in Chinese characters
On May 5, Kaifeng-born, Canadian-based DJ Yu Su landed in Jakarta to perform at the city’s go-to bar-slash-club ZODIAC for a sonically eclectic affair. Warming up the decks and dancefloor before her was Bandung-based stalwart, Munir.
That same night, Yu Su and ZODIAC launched their limited-edition collection of clothing and accessories comprising a t-shirt, a long-sleeve shirt and two bandanas.
The wearables feature doodle-style illustrations with blues, yellows and reds standing out on a white background. As for the animalistic drawings emblazoned on the items, they were inspired by Yu Su’s Chinese name which means fish and ZODIAC’s iconic leopard print sofas.
With designs reflecting both parties’ personal styles and characteristics, the collaboration highlights the longstanding friendship between Yu Su and ZODIAC — she previously performed to a full house of dancers at the same venue a few years back.

Drawing inspiration from the stylings of British painter Leonora Carrington and an old Italian book that featured drawings of fish, the creative collaboration materialised as expected, resulting in quirky wearables fit for both day and night affairs.
Also included in the design are Chinese characters that spell out Yu Su and ZODIAC.
Available for worldwide shipping, the limited-edition collection is up for purchase exclusively via ZODIAC's website here.
