The Hook launches as a multi-functional event space in Taipei
Located in Xinyi District, the venue supports up to 450 guests, featuring integrated sound, lighting & visual systems
A new venue, The Hook, has opened in Taipei’s Xinyi District as a performance-focused, multi-functional space built for live events and production.
Covering around 463 square meters, the space supports about 255 seated guests or up to 450 standing.
Its modular layout allows for quick shifts between formats, from live performances and screenings to brand launches, talks, and hybrid setups.
Programming began on March 6, introducing the venue’s technical setup. The official launch night took place on March 14, headlined by Dutch DJ Estella Boersma with Dungi Sapor, Molly Lin, NØEL and SAVØ also on the line-up.

For sound, The Hook uses the Funktion-One Evolution X loudspeaker system, known for high output, clear detail, and controlled sound dispersion.
The system maintains consistent clarity even at high volumes and delivers a defined low-frequency response suited to electronic and live music settings.

Audio, lighting, and visual elements are fully integrated into an in-house production system, allowing for consistent and controlled execution.
Lighting extends into the audience area rather than staying fixed on stage, while the spatial design reduces the divide between performer and crowd.
