TENGGER explore cosmology & their origins for upcoming 13th self-titled EP
Listen to the first single ‘PANAPTU’ & watch the teaser for their upcoming omnibus documentary
Two years ago, we brought you the tale of a nomadic music clan — Pan-Asian power duo, itta and Marqido and their son RAAI — who graced us with the stunning 'Beautiful Moment' album. Now, brace yourself for the triumphant return of TENGGER; the family that conjures up intricate, psychedelic New-Age drone soundscapes into blissful cuts.
Their latest self-titled release, which would mark their 13th, is set to drop on September 29 via Toronto-based label We Are Busy Bodies.
Accompanying the EP, the nomadic family also enlisted the help of omnibus documentary filmmakers from SEGAJI, who documented the group’s Europe tour in February.
The filmmakers captured the essence of half of the tour, featuring interviews and footage of the family's journey. The documentary also includes a music video of an unreleased track by the youngest member of the clan, RAAI. One scene shows RAAI cutting his hair, composing a new song using Ableton Live, and sharing it with his parents upon his return to Korea after the tour.

Commenting on the overall sonic atmosphere of the release, TENGGER explains “The sound begins at dawn and travels through the night sky and the Milky Way,” underlining how the natural movement of winds and waves inspired their art.
