Premiere: Ma Haiping unleashes sonic hypnosis with ‘Artificial Ecstatic’

Techno maestro Ma Haiping joins Synthetik Sounds for the label’s fifth release with an EP titled ‘Artificial Ecstatic’.

Curated by 6AM Group and Indonesia’s own techno pundit Ecilo, the label continues to push boundaries of cutting-edge music, and ‘Artificial Ecstatic’ stands as a testament to its unwavering commitment to sonic exploration.

Ma’s influence on the techno landscape extends far beyond the confines of his native China. Revered by luminaries such as Jeff Mills, his groundbreaking album ‘Chang'e-4’ on the iconic Axis Records cemented his status as one of the genre's most visionary artists.

Notably, Ma’s tracks have found their way into the playlists of esteemed DJs such as Ben Sims, Ken Ishii, DVS 1, Rødhåd, Kr!z, Rene Wise, and Setaoc Mass.

Fusing the rich traditions of Detroit techno with futuristic, sci-fi motifs, his music is a potent weapon designed to propel dancers into otherworldly realms, as you’ll hear for yourself in the upcoming release.

Comprising three originals and one remix by Los Angeles producer Secus, ‘Artificial Ecstatic’ delves deep into the hypnotic and cerebral realms of techno. Each composition is not only dancefloor-ready but also serves as a formidable addition to any DJ's toolkit.
