Magnetic Fields announces excitingly diverse 10th edition line-up

Globally-recognised Indian Festival Magnetic Fields has announced its 10th ambitious and versatile line-up, returning December 6-8, 2024.

Over the past 10 editions, Magnetic Fields has become one of the region's go-to events for stimulating contemporary art and music, and this year is no different.

Highlights for this year include Nicola Cruz, a live set by German-Italian composer and performer David August, Midland who’s set to play a five-hour set to close out the festival, bonafide selector Jane Fitz, and hotly tipped acts like Ahadadream, Sofia Kourtesis, Nikki Nair, Tom VR, Yazzus.

Label showcases include Hyperdub, bringing their heavy hitters Kode9 and Scratchclart, while Wallace will join Rhythm Section founder Bradley Zero for a deep dive into the eclectic sounds of London’s underground.

The festival also promises a fresh wave of selectors worldwide, including The Ghost, Gene on Earth, CCL, Nick León, Monophonik, livwutang, and many more.

Other performances to look out for include festival commission Fieldlines featuring dubstep producer V.I.V.E.K and Rajasthani folk musicians, the premiere of Indian producer Sid Vashi’s new album and Indian producer Panelia’s new audio-visual live set.

The diverse and future-facing sounds from India and the rest of the world will be present in all corners of the Magnetic Fields site, making it one of the most promising festivals closing out 2024.
