Ahadadream, Skrillex and Priya Ragu release highly-anticipated collab 'TAKA'
The single has finally landed on Major Recordings after stealing the show during Ahadadream's Boiler Room set in September
Ahadadream, Skrillex and Priya Ragu have released their highly-anticipated collab single 'TAKA'.
The track was first forged between Ahadadream and Skrillex during the pandemic, but it was nearly a year before 'TAKA' hit the studio in London, where the two producers enlisted the help of Priya Ragu and her brother Japhna Gold.
Before being released, the track built traction after a raw version featured in Ahadadream's debut Boiler Room set, becoming highly sought after amongst DJs and fans.

“‘TAKA’ had started building in the clubs thanks to Chris Lake and Four Tet already," Ahadadream explains. “And then it went viral on my Boiler Room."
The kinetic track is laced with South Asian influence, as Ahadadream’s high-energy tastes in gqom and UK funky meets Priya Ragu's R&B vocals, which have been chopped and crunched into brain-tickling percussion.
'TAKA' arrives following Skrillex's GRAMMY win in February, with his Fred again.. and Flowdan collaboration, ‘Rumble’, pick up Best Electronic/Dance Recording gong.
The US producer took to Instagram to share news of 'TAKA's' release writing: "Our track TAKA is live."

Taking inspiration from their heritage, 'TAKA' is a visceral celebration of South Asian culture.
“What we all connected with the most was Chin mudra," Ragu says. “A symbol of inner peace and tranquillity, that resonated with our feeling of being okay."
'TAKA' is out now on all streaming platforms.
