Nikki Nair and Hudson Mohawke drop surprise collaborative EP, ‘Set The Roof’

Hudson Mohawke and Nikki Nair have teamed up on a brand new collaborative EP out now via Warp Records, ‘Set The Roof’.

The Atlanta-via-Glasgow duo surprise dropped the three-track record yesterday featuring some new experimental cuts that fuse the producer’s sounds.

Calling it the “first batch of songs” made between the pair, Hudson Mohawke revealed that ‘Set The Roof’ would see further expansion next month with the release of a limited edition USB featuring three more tracks.

“3 new heaters especially for you,” he said on Instagram yesterday. “These have been causing damage up and down the land for the last month or 2 and now you too (and your mother) are both invited to join in on the action.”

“Limited edit chipmunk-shaped USB is also dropping, pre order is up now in the usual place,” he added.

The first of the three-tracker features US singer-songwriter Tayla Parx who provides the mutated vocal snippets for Nair and Mohawke’s unusual, garage-leaning title track.
