Jambu Jambu Asia is gearing up to celebrate its first anniversary this Friday, September 20 with another one of its iconic parties, The Landing.

Committed to showcasing the grassroots of the city’s electronic music scene, Jambu Jambu Asia’s The Landing event series has become a must-attend for partygoers.

The anniversary edition will feature a stellar line-up with regional names Arun R (Hong Kong) and Cyda (Indonesia) alongside KL favourites Axel Groove, Ethan Curzon, Howie Lee, JonnyVicious, LZZY and Little Vxen.

The Jambu Jambu Asia crew—Mister Rodrigo, Kaiza, Joey G, and Afaro—will also be taking to the decks.

Reflecting on the collective’s journey, founder Tristan Smeeton, aka Mister Rodrigo, conveys: “Our mission is to highlight local talents and the grassroots of electronic music in Kuala Lumpur, having booked more than 70 different local DJs in our first year.”

He also goes on to explain the inspiration behind their famous The Landing event series.

“We were talking for some time about the idea of bringing a rave to the Helipad as we thought the space wasn't being utilised to its full capacity, so we thought we'd give it a shot.” The combination of talented DJs, a top-tier sound system from Singapore, and underground-style lighting has transformed the space into one of KL’s most exciting party spots.

He also teased several international names the crew plan on inviting, such as Caiiro, Oscar L, DJ Boring, Yung Singh, Partiboi69, and potentially Octave One.
