Faust celebrates 9th anniversary by releasing hard-hitting techno compilation

Seoul staple club Faust is celebrating nine years in business with a compilation album releasing with Ameniia Records on October 10.

The extensive project features Faust residents/locals Joon Kwak, Stann Lumo, DAMIE, Sisyphus, Kim bo Yeon, Suman, Shortfinger, Mars Parck alongside club owner Marcus L and is a non-stop barrage of techno and energy.

Preloaded MP3 players in USB stick form containing the whole project were available for purchase exclusively at Faust’s recent two-day anniversary party that took place two weeks ago, and featured the artists included in the compilation.

The brains behind Faust and Ameniia Records is Marcus L, who has arguably led Korea’s booming techno scene in the last few years.

Mixmag Asia spoke with Marcus L, who said, "Faust's ninth-anniversary album is a testament to our journey as one of the pioneers in Seoul's electronic club scene. From day one, it's been about pushing boundaries and creating unforgettable experiences. Here's to another year of groundbreaking music and unforgettable nights."

Across its intimate two rooms, you can often find both techno and house resounding through its speakers, and the venue prides itself on its acoustic treatment coupled with its hand-crafted Kirsch sound system.
