Maara brings her euphoric energy to Singapore on October 14

Montreal's celebrated DJ and production virtuoso, Maara, makes her highly-anticipated Singapore debut at ikigai on October 14. The gig comes as part of her first-ever Asia tour.

Maara's musical journey has taken her from hip hop roots to the propulsive rhythms of progressive and psytrance, branching into the realms of electro, techno, and breakbeat. With her distinctive persona, Maara promises a night of electrifying energy and transcendent euphoria.

Ever since her breakout EP 'Ultimate Reward' released on NAFF recordings in 2021, Maara has been making waves in the international dance music scene and continues to solidify her presence in it.

Her latest release 'The Ancient Truth' on Berlin-based label Step Ball Chain is a celestial union of sound, featuring 12 dynamically diverse and emotionally-charged tracks, spanning the realms of downtempo, drum'n'bass, and elevated electronica.

Expect Maara's DJ sets to be a sonic journey through high-energy progressive, trance, electro, and breakbeat, igniting the dance floor with pure power.

Also on the roster for the night are a number of Singapore’s finest: Bongomann and his dreamy sounds, Dexter Colt’s nostalgic house tendencies alongside El Professionel and Jenn Chunes representing Super Enjoy.

Local collective and organiser Super Enjoy is a diverse group — with its members having foundations in Singapore, Australia, Malaysia and Canada — and never fail to bring forth an array of sounds as diverse as their multinational backgrounds.

Expect anything from jazzy house and techno grooves to powerful trap beats, Asian pop influences to dubby wobbles and nostalgic anthems as this crew navigates through a tapestry of deep and unforgettable cuts.
