Bijou taps Hong Kong artist Shimica for new collab
‘Go With You’ drops on Billboard Electric Asia compilation
Bijou has been making quite a name for himself lately, taking his G House sound around the world and dropping big tunes like ‘Gotta Shine’ Feat. Germ, and recently ‘Your Love’ on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak label. His 2019 Gangsta Party EP with Dr. Fresch (DND Records) has primed the producer for yet another successful year. Now linking up with Hong Kong’s top topliner Shimica for a new single ‘Go With You’, Bijou drops a Disco infused bassline and House groove that provide the perfect backdrop for Shimica’s soulful and sensually oozing vocals. The track was released last month exclusively on the Billboard Presents: Electric Asia Vol 3 compilation.
G House typically incorporates elements from House and Hip Hop, but on this floor filler Shimica comes through with sultry r'n'b laced lead vocal that evokes earlier Hip House vibes – and yet stays right in 2020 with Bijou’s production. This track is pure heat, and we’d love to hear more from this duo in the future.
