Bangkok Community Radio launches new studio and hub
DJ Namwan, DZ, Issasha, Krit Su, Mr Mowgli & Seelie helm the decks at the studio’s launch this Saturday
As we step into the final leg of 2023, a year that has seen a mighty uprise of community-backed events and concepts, Bangkok Community Radio celebrates a double milestone starting with celebrating their second birthday with a stellar line-up at Never Normal last month, and the announcement of their new studio and creative hub.
Taking up a cosy second-floor space of the Entertainment Project Record Store on Charoen Krung Road, the pop-up studio intends to offer locally-based artists and musicians broadcasting facilities as well as a space to gather and connect.

Now, after just two years, BCR is one of Asia’s most active and rapidly-growing community platforms, where electronic music and its sub-genres take centre stage.
The community currently boasts over 90 residents and creatives as members of the BCR network, both in Thailand and across the region. Past activations and events have included a stage takeover at Wonderfruit’s comeback edition in 2022, and playing a foundational role in SummerSound Festival's debut in Koh Phanghan.
