This week, United We Stream Asia looks deeper into clubs across Thailand, Singapore & Vietnam
It’s the last chance to donate before the first round of distribution
As we approach the final days of June, United We Stream Asia is also approaching the final days of its first round before distribution. To date, a total of $9,064 has been raised to #saveclubcultureasia. It might sound like a good sum, but more is needed in a region where government support has been non-existent and clubs, venues and DJs are struggling to survive the pandemic. Tomorrow, June 30, is the last day to donate towards the first round.
All funds raised go into a fund set up on GoGetFunding and will eventually be returned to the music community in Asia. For an understanding of how the funds raised are being divided, check here.
Last week saw streams from Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam, this time from Iconic Studio, Somewhere and Hanoi Rock City respectively with plenty of live music in the mix. Watch a super unique stream from Hanoi Rock City below:
The fight for Asia’s club culture has only just begun and there are so many streams by so many hard working artists and clubs to go. This week, United We Stream Asia looks off the beaten track to a beach club in Koh Phangan, HQ in Singapore and Savage in Hanoi, which reopens next month at a new location. See the full programme below.
United We Stream Asia is a partnership between ClubbingTV, ARTE Concert, Clubcommission Berlin, Homeaway Agency and Mixmag Asia, and has committed to uniting the music community’s efforts for recovery.
