Tommy Hilfiger & FRGMT debut collab inspired by 90s hip hop & prep culture
Developed in Japan & refined in Amsterdam, the collection combines New York street style with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Tokyo design perspective
Tommy Hilfiger has collaborated with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s FRGMT on a capsule collection that pays homage to 1990s New York hip hop culture and American prep style.
Fujiwara is said to have helped shape Tokyo’s Ura-Harajuku streetwear scene and was named artistic director of ComplexCon 2026.
FRGMT, his label, is known for its lightning bolt logo, which has appeared on collaborations with Nike, Starbucks, Moncler, Louis Vuitton, plus Bang & Olufsen.
The Tommy Hilfiger x FRGMT collection began with research into nautical signal flags in Tommy Hilfiger’s historical archives.
Initial samples were developed in Japan, then refined during collaborative work sessions at Tommy Hilfiger’s headquarters in Amsterdam. The result combines New York street style with a Tokyo design perspective.
The central design change replaces Tommy Hilfiger’s signature red with the light blue shade Fujiwara favors, applied to the brand’s flag logo.

Key pieces include denim-paneled outerwear stamped with FRGMT’s double thunderbolt emblem, a plaid duffel bag, a polka-dot field jacket and a classic cable-knit sweater. The full range spans outerwear, apparel and accessories.
In Japan, the collection released on October 15 through Tommy Hilfiger’s website and select flagships, including Omotesando. Pop-up stores operated at Shibuya Parco, Shinsaibashi Parco and JR Nagoya Takashimaya.
One week later, on October 22, the collaboration launched in Jakarta at Tommy Hilfiger Grand Indonesia.
