“The Baron of Techno” Dave Clarke leads official Clockenflap afterparty

SLIMEFEST, ROBOT and Mixmag Asia will host the official Clockenflap afterparty on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Soho House Hong Kong.

This marks the third consecutive year that Mixmag Asia presents an official post-festival event, and the upcoming edition brings a focused, full-throttle techno program led by Dave Clarke.

Widely known as “The Baron of Techno”, Clarke’s role in shaping the genre spans more than three decades, pushing it toward a harder, faster and more precision-driven sound.

His Red Series remains a reference point in techno production and continues to influence new generations.

Over the years he has collaborated with and remixed artists such as Depeche Mode, The Chemical Brothers, Underworld, New Order, Placebo and Fontaines D.C., reflecting his ability to connect electronic intensity with broad musical ideas.

His long-running radio show White Noise continues to highlight new producers, keeping him closely tied to the direction of modern techno.

Expect a fast, stripped-back and tightly executed set that stays loyal to his long-standing sonic identity.

“We’re excited to host Dave Clarke for an afterparty in Hong Kong, hopefully the energy will be reminiscent of his parties in the 90s; built on sweat, strobe and concrete. Hosting a such a well respected pioneer who has defined the genre is a watershed moment for the us and our continued explorations into various dance music histories,” local party purveyors and organisers SLIMEFEST share with Mixmag Asia.

Joining him on the line-up is Shkedul, the Italian DJ and producer known for merging techno, acid and trance into focused, evolving rhythms. His vinyl-only label NORD LTD reflects his commitment to core electronic music values, and his appearances at Tresor, Arena Berlin and leading Italian clubs speak to his steady rise.

“Look out for our supporting acts Shkedul, Adrianna and SOLICITOR as well, who all hold a shared vision as to what the sound of the underground can be,” the SLIMEFEST crew add.

Adrianna brings a contrasting palette shaped by atmospheric depth, shifting intensity and genre-fluid selections that move between deep techno, breaks and electro. With appearances across Asia and Europe, she contributes to the region’s underground landscape both as an artist and as co-founder of the Hong Kong collective Goldway.

Rounding out the lineup is SOLICITOR, co-founder of SLIMEFEST and a DJ whose style develops from hypnotic, groovy and industrial influences. His sets build around rolling basslines and rising tension, with the ability to escalate into higher-energy rave-driven territory.
