Suman drops sultry new EP ‘Vibez’ on Berlin’s queer label SEVEN
The FAUST resident blends dreamy house & acid-tinged grooves across five versatile tracks
FAUST resident Suman drops new five-track EP ‘Vibez’, out now on Berlin’s queer/FLINTA label SEVEN and available on vinyl.
Vocal-led and groove-heavy, Suman’s sound has become a staple across Seoul’s dancefloors. On ‘Vibez’, he masterfully balances dreamy, sun-soaked house with punchy, infectious rhythms—think warm organ pads, acid-laced basslines, and classic vocals that flirt with themes of love, desire, and lust.
The five-tracker shows off a versatile side of Suman that we’re here for.
‘Do You Bounce’ is a hard-groove heater, driven by floor-shaking percussion and a tried-and-tested vocal hook. ‘I Don’t Know’ enters lush, ethereal territory, sitting comfortably in a deeper house realm. The title track ‘Vibez’ dials up the atmosphere, led by sultry vocal lines and a steady build.

On remix duties are two more Korean standouts and fellow FAUST residents, DAMIE and Mars Parck.
DAMIE delivers a raw, tribal-tinged stomper complete with reworked vocal chops and sharp synth stabs. Mars Parck reimagines the softer side of the original, layering lush arpeggios and subtle textures that elevate its dreamy appeal.

Speaking on the EP, Suman told Mixmag Asia, “While delivering a different mood for each track, focusing on the vocals, I wanted to build an EP that maintains a groove that really keeps you moving and makes you want to dance. Early on in the project our Executive Producer, Marcus L, who managed the whole project had the idea to involve two other residents of Faust, my friends DAMIE and Mars Parck.”
He continues, “This was a dream, I loved collaborating with them and it’s so nice to come together as a FAUST team and present a housier side of our music. It’s the first EP featuring all FAUST residents and I’m so happy and proud to be part of that.”
