Singapore gets ready for a rave in the snow

Square Studios Pte. Ltd. under the brand name Combined Local University Party aka C.L.U.P. have arranged for an ice-cold shindig in the tropical city-state that’s now known infamously as the “Snow Rave”. The event is set to be held on September 24, 2022, starting at 9 pm until 2 am.

Hoping to “make history” with this first-of-its-kind party in Singapore, C.L.U.P. has come up a two-room concept at the venue which takes place at Snow City; one room will be set at a normal temperature and the other will drop down to minus seven degrees.

Oh, before we forget; beware the blizzards.

The organisers have mentioned "There will even be blizzards at random times," so now would be a good time to bring out those thermals stuffed in the back of your wardrobe and layer up. In fact, come dressed like you’re ready to summit Mount Everest and you just might win best-dressed, meaning a two-day staycation at Singapore’s Carlton Hotel.

It would definitely make for a unique experience (and ‘gram post), dancing in winter clothes, in Southeast Asia, where temperatures usually fluctuate between 26 and 31 degrees this time of year.

As for the line-up, all that have been mentioned so far are DJ Vanvanz and DJ Nomi, with more announcements coming soon. The genres featured throughout the event are said to range from EDM, hardstyle, hip-hop, top 40 hits and even moombahton (a fusion of house and reggaeton).

With nightclubs closed for over two years, Singapore seems like it’s ready to return full throttle to the nightlife scene. From outdoor coffee shop courtyard parties to brand-new international music festivals and more to come, the Lion City is definitely back in party mode.
