Saigon Soul Revival announce UK & Europe tour for autumn
Ahead of the run of shows, the band will release their new album in September, with debut single ‘Khúc Tình Yên Vui’ out now
Saigon Soul Revival have announced a run of dates across the UK and mainland Europe.
The tour kicks off at Musicport Festival in Whitby on October 23 before wrapping in Berlin on November 6, with potentially more shows to be added.
The tour coincides with new music from their upcoming album that’s set to be released in September titled ‘Chốn Ta Về’.
Lead single ‘Khúc Tình Yên Vui’ is out now and was recorded in Saigon at In The Box Studios, drawing on musical threads from Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam's Cham minority traditions.
Two remixes accompany the track. The first comes from Nathan Womack of Wax Thematique, who brings his beat-focused production style to the track.
Another comes from US-based Đàn Tranh artist Brian Bùi, whose rework takes things into Latin and Cuban territory with brass arrangements woven around the traditional Vietnamese string instrument.
