ONLY FEMMES returns to The Lighthouse with drag queens & DJs reigning the night

Together with Mixmag Asia in a media collaboration, our exuberant and wacky friends at PHOQ TV in Vietnam have curated a sophomore edition of ONLY FEMMES — a showcase of femininity by way of artists, DJs, drag queens, musicians, photographers and creative content.

ONLY FEMMES is intended to be a space created for expression, acceptance and joy, and as the PHOQ TV folk eloquently put it, “fuck you to gender norms and stereotypes. Everyone is welcome at ONLY FEMMES.”

Following an infamous late night that made up the first event back in January, the second edition sees Dave Berry play host again, while you are serenaded and soothed by Juan Anthony Reyes on sax duties. Stage-slaying performances kick off the event with Prinz Illusion, Sen Riot, Hoebizcus, Michelle Foxx and Josefiend Vernandez-Versini creating a rompous affair that is guaranteed to set the right, wild, tone for the night.

Have a listen to what Michelle Foxx and Prinz Illusion have to say about what femininity means to them in the video interview below.

The programme behind the decks includes Berlin-based Levi Oi bringing dance floor heat in the club, whilst ABG Tina keeps the rooftop floor swaying to groovy hip hop. Check out their interview ahead of this Saturday’s event below.

New girl on the block and recently signed resident at The Observatory is Bong Bong Quay Quay will grace the decks at The Lighthouse, joining ONLY FEMMES residents Nuala and DJ Georgette.

As much as we want to, we’re not allowed to say any more, but a very special visual projection by PHOQ Creative Studio will be showcased for the occasion.

This will be a limited capacity event, held at The Lighthouse Saigon, this Saturday 26 March. Tickets are available here and more info here.
