Nicole Moudaber debuts in Hong Kong for one-night-only gig

Award-winning techno icon Nicole Moudaber heads to Hong Kong for the very first time via invitation of homegrown boutique events organiser Omni. The beat-driven night is set to take place at BaseHall.

Known for her mainstream success while being able to maintain underground street cred, Nicole Moudaber has graced the crème de la crème of electronic music venues and events. From Berghain and Fabric to Ultra and Tomorrowland, her sound that ranges from gritty techno to vocal-driven grooves have garnered a massive following — not to mention support from heavyweights Carl Craig, Fur Coat, Hector, Jamie Jones, Paco Osuna, Pan-Pot and Scuba for her remix EP ‘BREED The RMXS’.

Born in Nigeria, the Lebanese launched her music career by promoting events in Beirut. After moving to London and catching the eyes and ears of Carl Cox and his Intec label, she quickly rose through the ranks by starting a movement of her own through her influential record label and global party brand MOOD and an award-winning radio show In The MOOD.

Not only a major name in the electronic music industry, Nicole has ventured into philanthropy, touching on issues close to her heart. A few years ago, she launched her charity ELEVEN to raise awareness about female genital mutilation (FGM) and raise money to help survivors. By using her platform to help others, Nicole’s efforts manifest just how music can truly make a difference and change the world.

“Now that Omni has started booking international acts, this is exactly the kind of artist we'd like to focus on — ones with broad appeal and an accessible sound,” mentions Omni founder, Adam Wright.

Driven by the urge to promote experience over parties, Omni was established around 18 months ago and have since been pushing the boundaries of regular clubbing comfort zones.

Having recently thrown a rave in the rice fields of Hong Kong, Omni has cemented a reputation for providing unique outdoor events when it comes to immersing with music. “We absolutely love our outdoor experiences and will keep the focus on those as much as possible, but we'll continue staging gigs in the city with international artists who we feel are right for us and our crowd,” Adam adds.

Word is that they’ve secured a private beach venue for their event in October — Omni’s first-ever seaside shindig.

Tickets to Nicole Moudaber’s debut Hong Kong gig are available here with prices as follows:
- HK$ 380 (Early Bird)
- HK$ 480 (Advance)
