Korean deep house talent Park Hye Jin is returning to Hong Kong

Korean female DJs have been getting a lot of ink over the past year or so. We all know about Peggy Gou and Yaeji, but another young talent making waves on the deep house –minimal scene is 25-year-old South Korean singer, rapper, DJ and producer Park Hye Jin. Having smashed it at Sonar Hong Kong last year, she’s set to return for her own debut gig at Hong Kong’s underground music mecca, This Town Needs (TTN) in March.

Coming up in South Korea, Park Hye Jin surrounded herself with underground music as a teen. Fascinated by the likes of Jamie XX, Mura Masa and Disclosure, Park was raised on an eclectic range of electronic music. Not interested in big rooms, her sound has found its way to playing festivals. Expect a neat, chilled and minimalistic set from her and probably a few surprises. Listen to her hit 'I Don't Care' below:

Park Hye Jin’s debut at Hong Kong's TTN will be March 13. Tickets are available here.

TTN started in Hong Kong in 2009 as 'Hidden Agenda', and it has been a live performance hot spot for all types of local and foreign underground musicians despite the government's constant accusation of its lack of licenses to evict and terminate the venue.
